Week 2

I started my second week of classes and in some ways it’s getting easier, but in other ways it is getting harder.  The kids are getting used to their routines, but they’re also realizing they’ll be in school every day and they’re not too excited about that.  It’s difficult to plan a class and think about what will keep little kids interested and listening.  I did speak with my boss and she said, “It’s not you, it’s them” so that makes me feel better about how often I have to yell at them.  I have one student who just won’t listen and the first week I felt bad yelling at them, but now I realize the last school they were at let them do whatever they want and our school doesn’t want kids who run wild.  So I have to crack the whip I guess.
